Thanks to Thisbe and Ingrid King of the Conscious Cat, I’ve begun to learn about the joys of tortitude and ask myself the question: “How soon is too soon to invite another feline spirit into one’s life?” (Read more here.)

Clea, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your guest post on “The Conscious Cat”. It echoed a lot of the emotions and experiences that I made when I had kittens in my home again after having lost my 16-year-old feline companion nine months earlier.
Thisbe seems to be an amazing little girl (with incredible eyes!). And judging from the photos of her on your computer and next to your manuscript, she seems to have a lot of potential for growing into a true writer’s cat.
Please keep us posted about her.
Thank you, Katha. New kittens bring such mixed emotions, don’t they? But … well, I’m glad we’ve both opted to bring new lives into our own (and save some feline lives in the process). Thisbe does indeed have the most intense, human-like gaze. She is, at times, disconcerting but we love her more everyday. I will keep posting updates on her!
